Flat tire overload

I have three boys and a wife. Between us there are (hold on, calculating … nine bikes .. one trail-a-bike) a total of NINETEEN tires to keep inflated. Not to mention all the soccer and basketballs to keep inflated! Naturally I have an air compressor. But what to do about flats? I use slime in most tubes, but slime goes bad after a while. (Maybe due to the heat here? It just goes all lumpy/watery and stops working) I like to patch tubes rather than replace them (using an old tube that I cut up for patches, and some Goop brand glue, which seems to hold well). But still I seem to be fixing flats all the time, or pumping up a slow leak. What is your answer? These are all mostly mountain/cruiser/bmx tires.

Example of three boys with a minute of free time:

Also if ANYONE knows how to fix holes in a soccer ball I will kiss you full on the lips.

I have had a decent run of no flats…For bikes that are ridden on a regular basis I look for tires with the puncture resistant belts in them, I also buy the best quality tubes I can find, vs the cheapest in price, seems to help. Soccer balls…if of decent quality can be unstitched and the bladder patched, not fun and I don’t recommend it unless the ball if of intrinsic value.
