Yes it is true. Stolen in broad daylight right in front of where I work. Originally bought in 2000, fully built. She had gears then, but I upgraded to single speed. Custom ASU maroon paint, custom SS wheelset.

My wife said to go get a new one, but it is like when your dog dies: you just don’t rush out and buy a new puppy.

I have another bike to get to work, when I got home today I discovered it had a flat. Merry frikin Christmas.

I put a lot of time and money into that bike. How much money? Well after you factor in ASU’s parking fees, gas, wear and tear on a vehicle, health care savings due to regular exercise … I figure that bike saved me $5000 over the last seven years.
